NOIDA – A love triangle in Bangalore saw a tragic end with the accused boy allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend before trying to commit suicide on Sunday night. While the girl’s boyfriend died, the other two have been hospitalised.
All three are National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) graduates.
According to police, 21-year-old Ravi Rana, who worked as a manager at a fashion store, was said to be upset that his ex-girlfriend Aparna was seeing another man. He allegedly entered Aparna’s flat with a knife and stabbed her and her current boyfriend Kaushik, who too was present there.
Apparently infuriated at Kaushik’s presence, Ravi stabbed both of them repeatedly before running away. Both Aparna and Kaushik were admitted to hospital, but the latter succumbed to his injuries. The girl’s condition was reported serious.
Knowing that the police had launched a manhunt for him, Ravi attempted suicide slashing his wrists and jumping from his fourth floor apartment. He however survived the suicide bid and was hospitalised.
