TORONTO – Police are looking for aToronto man following last weekend’sfatal stabbing of a South Asian teen amidthe Nuit Blanche festivities.Emanuel Lozada, 22, is wanted for second-degree murder, police at 52 Divisionsaid Tuesday afternoon, in connectionwith the death of 19-year-old RameezKhalid, reported CBC News. RameezKhalid, 19, died after being stabbed earlySunday morning. (Courtesy of TorontoPolice) He is described as about five feet,eight inches tall, 180 pounds, with thin,medium-length brown hair. Police didnot provide a photo or sketch.Police are also looking for two other men- known only by the nicknames Yoda andMunchies – as persons of interest in thecase. Khalid was stabbed at around 2a.m. on Sunday on Richmond Street nearYork Street, in front of the Four SeasonsCentre for the Performing Arts.He and a group of friends were earlier ata “pop-up rave” near the intersection ofQueen Street West and UniversityAvenue, said police, where they wereinvolved in an altercation with anothergroup. The fight was broken up, afterwhich Khalid and a friend walked southand then east on Richmond. OnRichmond they encountered anothereastbound group – it is unclear if theywere followed from the rave, police say -and a second conflict erupted, duringwhich Khalid was stabbed. He was transportedto hospital, but pronounced deadon arrival. Anyone who sees Lozada isasked to call 911. Police continueto sort through video footage and otherevidence. Hundreds of thousands ofpeople were downtown on Saturdaynight for the annual dusk-to-dawn NuitBlanche art festival.
