That’s right – the yesteryear actress remindedSofia-in-the-news Hayat of her mother, who is inLondonSofia Hayat was in Udaipur to seek spiritualsolace at the Nathdwara temple but what wasinteresting is that her trip to the temple remindedSofia of her mother. Actor Hema Malini was alsoat the temple and after meeting her, Sofia says shewas reminded of her mother.“My mother doesn’ttalk to me because I became an actor and took toChristianity, but when I met Hema Malini, I wasjust reminded of my mother because she looksexactly like her,” says Sofia, adding, “My motherand I used to watch Hemaji’s movies together inLondon and seeing her here brought on a rush ofmemories, maa ki yaad aa gayi.
“That apart, Sofia is happy visiting the templein Nathdwara because she says, “I am a very spiritualperson and since I hadn’t been to Udaipurbefore, I though this is the perfect opportunity tovisit the city and experience its state of spirituality.”But the actor, whenever she gets time, readsabout Hinduism. “I have a Ganpati at my home inMumbai and I believe in the soul and spirit, andlove reading about religion,” explains Hayat. Prodher about the rumour mills talking about her relationshipwith Indian cricketer, Rohit Sharma, andSofia is quick to reply, “I can’t comment on this.
No comments.” And though whether she is datingthe cricketer or not is a fact shrouded in mystery,what the actor is quick to reveal is that rightnow, boyfriend ka toh pata nahi, but she sure hasa girlfriend. “Udita Goswami and I are like girlfriends.We watch movies together, play with ourdogs and have fun together. In short, we both arevery honest with each other, and I think suchcamaraderie is rare to find in the industry,” sharesHayat. After her Udaipur sojourn, Sofia will returnto Mumbai and start shooting for the reality showSuperstud Season 2 with Ashmit Patel.
