Indo-Canadian Teen To Compete At Miss Teen Canada -World Pageant

SURREY – An Indo-Canadian teen Sierra Pilcher, who recently won the Miss Teen Surrey- World 2013, is headed to Toronto to compete in the Miss Teen Canada -World pageant.

Pilcher is a young lady who has logged over 4000 hours of volunteer work in her community.  She is a Youth Mentor, Youth Camp Leader, singer and song writer who performs around town to raise funds for different charities.

She has implemented a Youth Ambassador and Peer Mediation programs at her high school. She is also involved in the global community in the sense that she initiated and implemented an entire campaign for The Gift of Sight.

She is also a piano teacher, a voice coach and a tutor for young children.

“These young women are not just beauty queens but have had to prove their worth with community involvement, academic excellence, poise, grace, sportsmanship and moral character,” she said

Her Platform is to empower and inspire other youth to be the best they can be and raise up against bullying, peer pressure, drug and alcohol abuse. She would like to represent the city of surrey and our community with dignity and pride.
