MUMBAI – In town to launch his celebrity hairstylist wife Adhuna Akhtar’s salon, Farhan Akhtar was every bit the doting husband. And the actor-filmmaker says that their friendship is the foundation of their relationship.
“I believe that for any relationship or marriage to be successful,
the couple has to be great friends. It is also important to keep reinventing your friendship. Besides being my wife, Adhuna is a great friend and I know I can share my deepest secrets with her,” says Farhan.
Adhuna adds, “Farhan is the perfect partner for me. In any relationship, balance is very important.”
The couple has been married for 13 years, and has two daughters. Adhuna, 46, is six years older than Farhan, 39. Asked about the look she likes to see Farhan in, Adhuna says, “I want people to be as experimental as Farhan when it comes to trying different hairstyles. Short hair looks good on him and even makes him look younger. Having said that, Farhan is as fussy as any other client.”
Farhan, however, is busy gathering praise for his performance in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. “It is great that my hard work has paid off,” he says.
