Dramatic Makeover For Surrey Gurdwara!

The multi-million dollar extension project at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Delta-Surrey is finally taking shape. Slowly but surely the much anticipated construction is showing signs of the new modern look. After years of neglect, the Sikh Youth committee members have rejuvenated the community and implemented many programs to involve the young.  No longer is it a “boys club” of control of keeping power but doing nothing.  The current changes would not have taken place if it were not for the wave that was started by the youth in New Westminster.  The New West Gurdwara is also currently under construction for extension. Perhaps similar changes will take place in other cities as well such as Vancouver where an election is also due at the end of this year.
