Her last film Daawat-e-Ishq didn’t fare well at the box office nor did it manage to impress the audience. But Pari isn’t really worried because she is all geared up to charm the masses with her new film and her completely new avatar…

She is fierce, she is funny and she is smoking hot – that’s the new Parineeti Choprain a nutshell. Somehow even we don’t like calling her bubbly anymore, not that she isn’t vivacious but there is more to the pretty lady than just that. And you all will get to see that in her upcoming film Kill Dil which is directed by Shaad Ali and co-stars Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and the very entertaining Govinda. The film is slated to release this Friday so we decided to catch up with Ms Chopra to talk about her latest flick, which by the way, looks hatke and promising. As always, it was super fun to chat with Pari but before we got down to business, she told us she won’t entertain any boring questions. Well, we made sure to ask her interesting questions and she gave some really nice answers. Read on to know how our conversation turned out to be…

How have you managed not to have a single  cat fight with any of your contemporaries ?

Arre….we are such good people…we don’t fight with anyone…we are so nice (laughs). Jokes apart, I will tell you what really it is. You know we genuinely like each other and most of us know each other even before we became actors. We all these relationships since before and then we all became actors in front of each other. So there is no reason to suddenly not like each other. That bond has carried forward. Also, we know that there is work for everyone and I don’t need to cut you to get your film. We all have different personalities and we are getting films accordingly. So there is no reason to fight. We spend so much time with each other and party together that there is no time for fights. And I don’t why this is surprising to everyone. It’s also great because it avoids so much of problems. If there is an article which comes out, I can call them up and say, ‘listen this is what I said and this is what is written so please ignore.’ Otherwise somebody else can start judging you.

At various occasions you have said that Sajde is your favourite song from Kill Dil. Even masses have loved this song and it’s like a typical YRF number where the heroine is looking hot and it’s raining. So how was it finally doing such a song?

Best… I finally felt like a heroine (laughs). Not only that, Kill Dil is also my filmiest film. I have always done films that have realism. Even in Hasee Toh Phasee, I had a very quirky character and I wasn’t like the quintessential heroine. So I am glad that I got to do all of these things and just take out my bhadaas (anger). I get to wear best costumes and there will be a retake if hair and make-up is not proper. That was awesome. Because otherwise they will be like ‘ we didn’t even notice your hair…just go tie your hair and come.’ So it felt really good.

Apart from the glamorous aspect of the role, what made you do Kill Dil?

The director! I was dying to do a film with Shaad sir. He is one of those directors which is on your list. And the first thing said to me was that the film will be directed by Shaad. So that was like the first tick on the check list. Then they said we need you to be only in western avatar. So that was the second tick and the it was Yash Raj Films so what else would you want. It was just awesome doing the film.

You attended the special screening of Kill Dil so what was your first reaction? Both Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar said they are happy with everyone’s performance especially Govinda…

Same reaction. I am very happy with the film and loved Govinda’s performance. In fact, I am in love with Govinda all over again after this performance. It’s like a whole new Govinda but the traditionalGovinda fan will also not be disappointed. He is just brilliant in the film.

Initially, you were criticised for fashion but now things have changed and people are praising you for your style. So how does it feel now…? And do you think this will change the perception of people about you?

I honestly and genuinely feel relieved and I really worked hard at it. You know fashion is one area which has never been my strength. In the beginning, I just didn’t know what would look nice on me. When someone would say oh this is Louis Vuitton, you should wear it, I would wear it and look shit in it. I had no idea. But then I realised that you first need to understand your body. And that along with having a good stylist is very important. Also, I need people to stop saying that I dress badly. I need them to say, ‘Oh she dresses well, she acts well.’ I don’t want any negativity around me. So I want to improve that.

Sonam Kapoor recently shared an article on Twitter which was about you blasting three reporters. She even applauded you for the same. How does that feel?

An approval by another girl is always great and approval by another actress is even better. I don’t know if actually used the word blasted but I didn’t blast them. Honestly, I spoke with a lot of respect and in both instances it was a guy who was being dumb. I am not some bhartiya naari with agenda but in both these instances I felt the need to voice myself. Also, I am an actress so if I say something I feel it will make a difference, so I said it. But it’s not my hobby to blast reporters (laughs).

But do you think you’re often misquoted?

Yes, out off 100 percent, 90 percent times I am misquoted. And I feel very bad because then what’s the point of sitting with you guys if you’re not going to write that. Then I might as well write an interview and send it and then you can copy paste it. Also, I like to talk in a flow. I will myself tell you stories and have a conversation but then if you link two things and put it, it’s not fair. So it’s very sad that just to sell your papers you become very mean.
