Being in the twenty first century, one would assume practicing racism, prejudice, and other forms of discrimination are close to diminishing but they are not. So to continue the fight against racism, Kids Play and South Asian Pulse organized a forum on Anti-Racism to spread awareness on the on-going problem of various forms of discrimination. The forum took place on last Saturday at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and brought out over 200 guests including prominent members of the society, who spoke to the audience about creating awareness about these issues. Surrey MLA Amrik Virk recognised KidsPlay executive director Kal Dosanjh for his community work and his passion for serving his people through programs like Kids Play which intend to bring about positive changes in the society. KidsPlay is having another forum this weekend on gangs and violence, which is taking place at Grand Taj on March 29th from 11 to 1pm. It is a free event and they encourage everyone to come out to interact with great speakers addressing these issues.
