With sadness in our hearts, Surinder Kumari Jehman, 64, passed away suddenly on March 23, while surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Vedanti Amrit Jehman; and five children: Sweda, Sulekha, Vijay, Joti and Pamela; and six grandchildren: Maiya, Briya, Jaiden, Luvina, Nikhil and Ayaan. She is remembered fondly by family and friends as a strong, dedicated and loving woman. Surinder worked as a cook for 30 years, celebrating her love of cooking with all of us. She enjoyed daily walks, aquafit, swimming, satsang and helping others as much as she could. We will ever remember her with joy and gratitude in our hearts, and miss her precious presence in our lives. May her soul rest in peace.
The funeral will be held at 9am on Sunday, March 29 at Riverside Funeral Home Crematorium, 7410 Hopcott Rd, Delta, BC V4G 1B6 (604-940-1313). Cremation will be at 10:30am.
Instead of flowers, the family request that donations can be made in her name to Shiv Mandir in Burnaby or Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation.
