Regular LINK Contributor And Man Of Faith Acharya S. P. Dwivedi Gets International Recognition

SURREY – The Parliament of the World’s Religions has recently recognized Acharya Shrinath  Dwivedi  as an Ambassador for his  more than 35 years of  long and invaluable services in cultivating peace around the world.

He is one of the senior leaders in field of interfaith movement in Canada who is actively involved in building awareness, understanding and respect between members of diverse religious, spiritual and secular backgrounds.

He is credited with organizing and participating several, local, national and international interfaith peace prayers and  conferences. He has worked and collaborated with other community and faith groups to promote peace, harmony and  global sustainability.

He successfully coordinated three Pre-Parliament  conferences in Metro Vancouver and  will be holding the fourth one on August 8,2015 at Richmond Cultural Centre in Richmond.

He was invited by UNO to Millennium World Peace Summit 2000, New York and United Religions Initiative at Global Peace Assembly 2002 in Rio, Brazil.

He chaired the Advisory Council on Spiritual and Religious Care of Surrey Memorial Hospital and was appointed as a Religious Councilor to Winter Olympic Calgary and Salt Lake,USA.

Acharya  is one of the founding members of NEVR(Networking to Eliminate Violence Relationship) and also a member of Burns Bog Committee . He is  trying, through these organizations, to address  the   domestic violence and environment issues;  and find possible solutions. He believes in listening and speaking with respect to others.

At present, Acharya is working as a President of Multifaith Action Society which is an oldest multifaith organization in Canada. He is committed to peace and carries passion for interfaith.
