Ever since he was a young boy growing up in the village Mahadpur near
Hoshiarpur in Punjab, India, Vijay Kumar had a thirst for knowledge
and a curiosity that none of his fellow children had. It was that
thirst for knowledge that led him from his small village to the centre
of higher knowledge in Haridawar and his encounters with thousands of
people from the common man to men of enormous power and wealth,
including Punjab Ministers, Cabinet Ministers, Bollywood
celebrities and great thinkers.
Kumar, who is currently in Vancouver on a special visit, is not only
an expert but a truly god-gifted in the study of Palmstry, astrology
and Vaastu Shashtra and other spiritual arts, which he studied at
Joshi Matt. It is the culmination of childhood curiosity
which began when he was just 15-years-old and continued as he did his
lower and higher secondary schooling and graduation from Doctor CV
Raman University with a BA degree. He also holds a Diploma in Engineering
“Aside from regular studies, Astrology was something that drew me to
it and I began reading and studying it for a long time,” Kumar told
the LINK. “It was almost like a gift from God and I was bound to be
all consumed by it.”
Through his journey of enlightenment, he has met thousands of people
whom he has helped in their inquiries about their life and existence
here but he is quick to point out that he bases his readings strictly
on authentic, scientific-backed spiritual knowledge as it is not
something he exploits but highly respects the knowledge he has attained.
“My long journey where I have met hundreds of thousands of people in
India and not it has brought me to Vancouver and Surrey where my
countrymen reside,” Kumar said.
Aside from his regular meetings with the enlightened individuals and
ongoing discussion on topics of great interest to humanity, he attends
regular Satsangs and other spiritual gatherings to speak on various
topics and how they are covered in the great religious books like
Geeta, Guru Granth Sahib and Ramayaan.
Despite his enlightenment, Kumar lives a simple existence but which is
enriched by his ongoing self-discovery and the discovery of things in
this great universe.
“I practice my gift as seva to the hundreds of people I see every
Sunday at a temple in my village and on my journey around India but it
is not for money as I don’t charge for my services but people are free
to donate money on my behalf to the temple or good cause,” he said.
He insists that knowledge is the supreme power and through it
individuals can achieve nirvana and become more enlightened and
enriched individuals but he said it must be true knowledge that has a
basis in the real world otherwise it is not true knowledge.
“In Astro Science, whatever we must see and speak, it has to be based
in the real world and backed by scientific evidence – it is the key to
understanding us and our world,” he said.
