Bank Manager Arrested For Taking Rs30,000 Bribe

ABOHAR – The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday nabbed a branch manager of the Sriganganagar Central Cooperative Bank for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 30,000.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACB, Anand Swami was given a complaint by Kulwinder Singh, manager, Chak 6DD village cooperative service society. He alleged that branch manager Lila Dhar Jakhar posted at Gharsana was demanding Rs 30,000 to reinstate him following his suspension.

The ACB nabbed Lila Dhar when he was reportedly accepting the bribe. The branch manager said he had been falsely implicated.
