FATEHGARH SAHIB – Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) chief Simranjit Singh Mann asked Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to form a people’s commission to probe the cases of the 1984 massacre of Sikhs.
Commenting on Kejriwal’s open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the ‘inefficiency’ of the Centre’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to re-probe riot cases, Mann told mediapersons that the Delhi Government should set up a commission comprising three honest judges to hold an independent inquiry.
Meanwhile, addressing a gathering here, Mann reiterated his resolve to observe June 21 as Gatka Diwas every year.
