Prince William and Kate got more than a taste of B.C.’s wine country as the Royal couple visited the Mission Hill winery in Kelowna to sample local wines as part of their whirlwind tour through the area Tuesday. At a photo-op with young kids dressed up chefs, it was a pair of Indo-Canadian twins – Roman and Ishan Sall – who made quite an impact on the royal the couple, especially Duchess Kate, who after watching Roman not wanting to have a seat finally picked him up and had a great photo op with him while his brother Ishan was brought over by Mission Hill Family Estate proprietor Anthony Von Mandl. Alison Love, a board member of the Okanagan Chef’s Association, recalled the hilarious moment for Hello magazine, saying that when the time came to take a photograph with a group of young chefs, Kate had her hands full trying to keep one of the youngest budding chefs (Roman) from running off. A beautiful picture was captured after a little coaxing on Kate’s part. “There was a little one sitting beside Kate and he kept squirming off his chair and she kept lifting him up and putting him back on his chair [ Laughs]. It was quite cute, but funny to watch – up, down, up, down.”
