Link columnist and Cycling4Diveristy founder Ken Herar also received  hate literature from the Ku Klux Klan as did other in the neighboring area earlier this week in Mission. Herar said he was at work when he heard about the incident, but his 83-year-old dad, Tok, was at home and found the flyer. Tok immediately took the literature to the RCMP.

MISSION – The racist white supremacist group Ku Klux Klan is spreading its tentacles in the Fraser Valley and surrounding areas, targeting  Mission residents with a “White Lives Do Matter” flyer after similar many Mission residents, including LINK columnist Ken Herar,  discovered a flyer from the Ku Klux Klan on their doorsteps on Monday morning.

Residents of some Fraser Valley neighbourhoods, including those of Cherry Avenue, woke up Monday morning to find flyers on their doorsteps that appeared to be distributed by a branch of the Ku Klux Klan.

The flyers came in the form of a clear plastic bag containing a one page flyer and a small amount of rice.

The flyer indicates it is from the “Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan” and that “Yes! White Lives Do Matter.”

It contains more statements and includes slogans, a website and a “Klan Hotline” phone number.

In July of this year, residents in Chilliwack had the same flyer delivered to their homes.

Police said they believe the rice was left to weigh the bags down.

The photocopied flyers left in Abbotsford and Mission include slogans, a phone hotline and website.

The flyers appear to be from a group called the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, and feature a phone hotline and website at the bottom.

The URL listed on the poster pulls up a website featuring the N-word, racist cartoons and memes, and a message claiming that the KKK Knights are not a “hate group,” but an organization against drugs, homosexuality, abortion and interracial relationships. The site also includes anti-Semitic messages.

Based on the phone number’s area code, it appears that the group is based out of North Carolina.

Abbotsford police are investigating, and said the bags appear to have been distributed randomly.
