Kavi Goshthi: held on March 11, 2017 between 1 pm – 4 pm at Laxmi Narayan Temple, Surrey

A bigger and august gathering applauded the Hindi poems recited by a chain of established and new poets. The poetical symposium (Kavi Goshthi) was organized to celebrate Holi, the Indian festival of colours at the temple. HLSCBC members decided to go in a big way to bring alive the true spirit of Holi by reciting Holi songs and poetry synchronized with the beats of Dholak and Tabla, the classical instruments of Hindustani music. Another colorful feature was traditional sweets of Holi- Jalebi, Gujiya in addition to chai and samosa. The audience enjoyed the festivities and greeted each other with Holi colours. The festivities of this Holi have left a special mark that the guests are going to remember for a long time. For our future events and/or membership inquiries can be made to Shailendra Pathak @ 604-502-7711.
