The inaugural session o f the South Asian Women’s Economic Forum (WEF) and Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival held their opening Gala party at the beautifully decorated Surrey City Hall.
The WEF recognised the great work of women like former Surrey mayor and now BC Liberal leadership candidate Dianne Watts, first South Asian Canadian Senator Mobina Jaffer, community workers and volunteers such as Manjit Gill and Jas Janda-Wiseman and others.
Chief guest of the evening Bollywood and international actress Huma Qureshi was also honoured at the event. Hats off to the great work organizing this event by my friends Shernjeet Gill, Shelina Mawani and Mannu Sandhu! Great job ladies and wish you all the success in all that you do!
