BRAMPTON – An Indo-Canadian trucker from Brampton was handed a Highway Traffic Act ticket after the transport truck he was driving wound up in Angus Lake near Temagami Sunday morning, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

Temiskaming OPP report the truck was southbound on Highway 11 just before 7 a.m. when it went out of control and landed in the lake, knocking down hydro lines along the way.

The highway was closed for hydro line repairs. Minor injuries were reported, and the driver, identified by police at Simranjeet Sandhu, 39, of Brampton, was given a ticket for failing to drive in a marked lane under the Highway Traffic Act.
