The Indian Ex-Servicemen Society British Columbia held their annual event to honor the Saragarhi Battle martyrs (21 Sikh soldiers of 36 Sikh Regiment died while facing and standing ground against more than 4800 Pathans) and Veterans Day celebrations at Grand Taj Banquet Hall Sept 12. Ex-Servicemen Society President Captain Mohinder Singh Jaswal and all decorated members were present at the even t along with Jasbir Singh, Consul from the Consulate General of India and Bableen Rana (Safe Surrey Coalition) as her father, Joiginder Singh Rana was also a soldier in Indian army and was killed later at age 24 in motorcycle accident.
