SANGRUR – A local court awarded 10 years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh to an accused in a rape case. Another six accused in the case were awarded seven years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 each.
The case was registered against Harjinder Singh, and his aides on a complaint by the victim’s father on December 8, 2013. The remaining accused are Hardeep Kaur, Harwinder Singh, Raj Kaur, Karan Kumar, Harwinder Kaur and Pargat Singh.
