Immigration Research Project

“FAMILIES APPLYING TO REUNITE IN CANADA NEEDED FOR A RESEARCH PROJECT!

People who have recently sponsored family members or people who would like to sponsor family members but feel they cannot are invited to participate in a survey in English or French for Ryerson University PhD student Beth Martin. Free English for the Workplace Classes at PICS

PICS’ new Project Based Language Training Program (PBLT) is now offering free English classes for the Labour Market. It helps immigrants overcome language barriers that hinder new immigrants’ path to employment. The priority for this project is to attach clients to Labour Market and help them actively seek employment or prepare them to enroll in a training course or move to an enhanced Labour market program. Students will learn and develop soft skills, job search, resume writing, interview skills, networking and much more. Vedic Seniors Parivar Centre of Vedic Hindu Cultural Society Surrey invites South Asian Adults/ Senior members and non members also  to come and play Bingo for the sake of fun and make some new friends, on November 22nd 2015( Sunday ) from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm at Shanti Niketan hall  8321 – 140th street Surrey B.C. Please bring only two dollars with you to play 2 games, do not worry if you do not know how to play, members will explain you the game just for the sake of fun. All the members are requested to register their names and their guest’s name for participating in it with the Coordinator.
