The west Newton community celebrated the official opening of its newly expanded and redeveloped Panorama Park today. The park is 3.5 acres and features a neighbourhood dog off-leash area, a tot playground, a bike track, and an open grass area, which can be used for picnicking during the summer and also provide an option for the school to run activities with children in a natural environment. The opening celebration included remarks cake cutting, face painting, community displays and activities. For more information about Panorama Park, visit www.surrey.ca/parks.
