VANCOUVER –Hollywood Harv fronted BAKWAAS, an Outrageous Stand-Up Comedy takes place January 27th at the River Rock Show Theatre in Richmond, BC.
Presented by River Rock Casino Resort and A-Town Presents, the inaugural event features Richmond’s very own stand-up comic Hollywood Harv, headlining in his hometown for the first time, alongside a great line-up of South Asian comics from Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Hosted by the charismatic Angelina Rai of Spice Radio & Z95.3, the show also features local South Asian comics Ash Dhawan, Simi C and TJ Mund. Organizers say tickets are over 75% sold out on ticketmaster with an immense buzz amongst comedy fanatics and aspiring comics on the west coast.
No stranger to a Vancouver audience, Hollywood Harv was thrilled to be one of the few sold out shows at Vancouver’s 2010 Global Comedyfest, which also highlighted world renowned comedians Carol Burnett, Steve Martin, Pauly Shore and Tom Arnold. Harv has hosted television shows on Vision TV, CHEK and SHAW TV. Born and raised and still living in Richmond, B.C., Harv knew that he wanted to be a performer since the seventh grade. His last solo stand-up show in Vancouver at the Vogue Theatre was a sell out in 2012 and this one will be no different.
