BELLIGHAM, WA.  The annual Nagar Kirtan celebrating Khalsa Day or “Khalsa Sajna Diwas” will be celebrated this Sunday, May 14 in Bellingham, Washington at the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash.  Another celebration took place in Lyndon just two weeks ago and more are planned in other cities.  This is another great sign of prosperity and growth for our community in the state of Washington.  While there is no comparison to the hugely successful and popular Surrey Nagar Kirtan that attracted more than 350,000 people this year, making it the largest Sikh celebration outside of Punjab.

Every celebration of the birth of Khalsa brings pride and provides opportunities for community service.  This is most true in the smaller towns in which the programs are more intimate and there is no rush.  The attendees get a chance to connect spiritually and enjoy the celebrations at a higher level.

Head priest Jaswinder Singh humbly invites and requests all to take part.  “We are inviting everyone to bring their whole families and enjoy the celebrations.  The Nagar Kirtan will take place at the Gurdwara from 12 to 3 pm this Sunday”.

Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash is located at 777 West Smith Road, Bellingham (Just minutes before Bellis Fair Mall at exit 262).  PH # 360-312-1190
