SURREY – Multifaith Action Society is the oldest multipath organization in BC that has been credited with promoting respect, understanding and harmony amongst various faiths.  Above this, it has been publishing the multifaith calendar for last twenty six years, which is an inspiring educational resource on world religions and immensely popular, with a huge circulation, in North America. The 27th issue of 2013 was launched on 23rd October at Richmond Cultural Centre in Richmond. Bernard Bouska is a highly spirited project manager who brings the calendar out.

Calendar focuses on cultural concepts of time and existence, and brings together myth, history, legend, world view and morality.

The program began at 6.00PM with an exhibition of artists’ those paintings which are printed on the Calendar.  The art woks of these painters were displayed—Jilly Watson (Bowen Island), Taylor de Jong (Van.), Isobel Mantle (Van.), Mia Weinberg (Van.) ,Catherine Fraser (Duncan), Marguerite Mahy (W.Va.), Siobhan Chandler (Van.) and Nicki Khanamoui (Van.). The art lovers made enquires about paintings and calendar with the artists and MAS officers. Mr. Derek La Croix, President welcomed the guests and briefly spoke on the theme and topics –festivals and secular holidays. He also appealed people to become the member of MAS and strengthen the organization by providing their invaluable inputs. The guests were entertained with refreshment.
