SURREY – Sarbjit Nagra has been in the local Limousine industry for a long time and it wasn’t until he also dabbled in online technology company that builds websites and creates apps that he thought about an app that would really help his own industry by making it easier and cheaper for customers to rent limos.

And right away “My Limo Ride” app was born and with Nagra’s tenaciousness in getting things done – the app is up and running and can be downloaded on any mobile device.

“The app makes it so easy for customers to choose the kind of Limo they want,” Nagra told the LINK over tea at his famous cousin Bobby Nagra’s house. “It’s all about convenience and choice and customers can pick easily from Sedan to stretched limo or SUV or Limo Bus.”

Nagra, who owns Destiny Limousines and is one of the directors of the BC Limousine Association, said all customer has to do is logon and request the car they want and the message goes out to the nearest driver and they contact the customer and the limo is booked.

“It’s that easy and it’s all by the touch of their phone button,” Nagra said, adding that at a recent meeting with the BC Transportation Minister, the Minister said “You just became Uber yourself.”

Nagra, who has been in the Limo business for 10 years, came up with the idea after researching similar apps for various companies, including Uber, and it took his company 8 months to complete work on the My Limo Ride App.

He said there is a lot of demand from other similar companies, like towing , to adapt the App for them but right now he just wants to get the App up and running and get it out to customers so they can take advantage of the convenience of the services the App offers.
