The Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society celebrated their 25th Anniversary Gala on November 2nd at the Grand Taj Banquet Hall. PICS Society welcomed more than 800 guests to celebrate their milestone of 25 years of providing services for the community. “PICS Society has achieved many milestones in the past 25 years,” says Charan Gill, PICS Society Chief Executive Officer. “Not only has this Gala celebration signified an important achievement for me professionally, but it also has personally. I’m humbled and proud to see the success we’ve had in the community and I look forward to the future.” Dr. David Suzuki was the keynote speaker for the evening. “Congratulations to PICS Society on its 25th anniversary. It was wonderful to be a part of the celebration. PICS Society and the David Suzuki Foundation have been working together to create more awareness about environmental issues, and I look forward to seeing this relationship grow,” says David Suzuki. The evening also featured a commemorative book launch about PICS Society’s 25 years of history, special awards recognition and cultural performances.
