On the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab, PICS Society along with media partners Connect FM and Sanjha TV is organizing a 12-hour telethon andradiothon to raise funds for ‘Guru Nanak Diversity Village’ on November 19th.

The Guru      Nanak Diversity Village (GNDV), will be a 125-bed, 3-storey long-term care facility to be built in Surrey that will provide culturally sensitive care to our seniors.

The day is very special for the Indo-Canadian community as it brings the community together and reinforces acts of selfless service ‘seva’. And, what better way to celebrate and contribute towards the community than to donate to a community project being built for our seniors.

Through a collaborative effort, PICS and media partners are looking for the community’s active support to raise $5 million to complete the long-term care project.

The South-Asian community is known for its generosity as seen from their contributions to numerous culturally diverse projects throughout the world. Outside of the Indian subcontinent, this is perhaps the biggest project dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev ji during his 550th birth anniversary year.

To support the important community project, please tune in to 91.5 FM on November 19thfrom 7 AM to 7 PM or dial in 604 961 0915 and show your support.
