Pardeep Sanghera of Lions Weightlifting Club won a silver medal at the Junior World Weightlifting championship held in Lima, Peru from May4-10. Canada sent eight athletes – four men and four women including another Indo-Canadian Helena Billen, also of Lions Club – and won three total medals – two silver and one bronze.
