Premier John Horgan and Parliamentary Secretary for Sport and Multiculturalism Ravi Kahlon joined community members and the Mayor of Delta George Harvie for a celebratory opening of Delta’s first cricket pitch. The Province provided $175,000 in funding for facility upgrades at the park, including the new cricket field.

The cricket team using the Province-funded new pitch at North Delta’s Delview Park had a VIP batter join them last week. Premier John Horgan came to play cricket and meet with as well as to inaugurate Delta’s first cricket pitch alongside area MLA Ravi Kahlon. Horgan got an opportunity to play cricket and the popular Punjabi card game of “seep” with seniors.
