CHANDIGARH – A section of Sikh leaders today announced the formation of a new organisation, Sikh Sadhbhawna Abhiyan, which would work towards bringing reforms in gurdwara managements of Punjab and Haryana.

Former Hazoori Ragi of Darbar Sahib Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala, who was transferred after he had opposed the SGPC’s decision to appoint Harcharan Singh as Chief Secretary in September last year, said the new outfit would kick off a gurdwara reform movement on Hola Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib.

“We will also launch a campaign demanding that all five towns, where temporal seats of Sikhism are located, should be declared holy cities,” said Wadala.
