Indian Bollywood-Pop superstar Sonu Nigam was honoured in a grand celebration party, which was organized by his Vancouver promoter Kamal Sharma and proprietors of Dhaliwal Banquet Hall Monday evening. A somewhat tired, baseball cap wearing Nigam made an appearance along with Kolavari D singing famous young son. He spoke in Punjabi, saying he was quite fluent when he was in Delhi but in Mumbai – the Hindi has rotted his Punjabi. The organizers planned a very entertaining evening for the superstar where talented young local Bhangra and classical dancers and singers tried to entertain Nigam. But unfortunately, too many “I must take my picture with Sonu” people spoiled the show for the superstar as well as many of the attendees. That’s a shame!
