Taste of Wine And Kisses Fading

By Ashok Bhargava

verdant childhood

of honey, milk and innocence

gone with waves of Beas.

youth of bending lush boughs

apples, sensuous grapes

ripe, harvested and gone.

wide meandering

river of autumn berries

look back at seasons that won’t return.

old age

laments to the lost moon

taste of wine and kisses fading.
