WASHINGTON – Evenas the search continues foran Indo-American nursingstudent who went missingin New York 10 days agoanother student has mysteriouslyvanished on a springbreak trip to Florida.Reny Jose, who arrivedin Panama City Beach, Floridaon Saturday disappearedon Monday evening, theHouston Chronicle reportedciting Florida’s Bay CountySheriff ’s Office.A police spokespersonsaid Jose’s clothing werefound in a garbage can behindthe house.Rice University informed studentsof Jose’s disappearance on Tuesday, saidRice spokesman B J Almond.Almond said the 21-year-old senioris a native of Latham, a suburb of Albany,New York.According to Jose’s Facebook page,he graduated from Latham’s ShakerHigh School before enrolling at Rice tostudy mechanical engineering.Jose’s sister, Reashma Jose, has createda Facebook page to help find herbrother.Meanwhile, the Nassau county policedepartment’s missing persons squadis seeking the public’s help in locatingJasmine V Jospeh, a 22-year-old femalecollege student from Syosset, accordingto Newsday.Her parents said on Saturday thatthey had paid for their daughter to enrolat New York Institute of Technology forthe fall 2013 semester.But university officials said JasmineJoseph, who would have been a junior,hadn’t been a student at school in OldWestbury since last May.The parents don’t know for surewhether she had been attending class,and they haven’t seen any of her grades,Newsday said.They never, however, suspected anythingsuspicious about their daughter’sbehaviour.The family has set up a Facebookpage and put up fliers in the neighbourhoodwith the hopes of gaining anyclues into their daughter’s disappearance.Last month, yet another Indian-originstudent Pravin Varughese, who hadgone missing in Illinois, was found deadin a wooded area in Carbondale.The Southern Illinois Universitystudent from Morton Grove had disappearedafter getting into a dispute withan acquaintance who was giving him aride.
