Why Is Vancouver Police Not Taking Incident Seriously Or Pursuing Hate Crime Charges?

The RACIST urinator!

“What are you doing? Why are you taking these? What are you going to do with these, put them on Facebook, on social media,” the Racist urinator asked, if knowing that is what was going to happen, according to witnesses. “You can get your kids to download them because you can’t do it. Do whatever you want; I can piss on this thing 40,000 times.”

VANCOUVER – A visitor from India got a harsh racist reality check in Canada this past week while visiting the Komagata Maru Memorial in Vancouver. The incident showed how racist Canadian society once was and how some residue still manages to stay alive.

Makhan Singh Kuhar, a retired teacher, community volunteer and writer from Punjab, had heard so much about the tragic incident of the Komagata Maru. Even though there were many tourist sites that he wished to visit in Vancouver there was one that was more special and personal.

This was the memorial at Harbour Green Park in Coal Harbour which is dedicated to the victims of the great tragedy of the Komagata Maru. Many of the passengers were massacred upon their arrival in India by a British firing squad, some escaped and the rest were put in prison.

Makhan Singh and a friend had just finished paying their respect to the victims and took a few photographs when suddenly a white man threw a soccer ball and hit the memorial.

“What are you people trying to prove?” he confronted.

We are not trying to prove anything they answered but questioned what he was trying to prove.

He became quite angered and the exchanged heightened. Soon, he became extremely vocal and confrontational to the point of physical altercation.

Do you want us to call the police? They asked him, as his threatening demeanor increased.

“Go ahead and call the police. I am God; I can do anything I want”.

At that point he walked up to the memorial and began urinating on it.

A few photographs were snapped which added to his anger and frustration.

“What are you doing? Why are you taking these? What are you going to do with these, put them on Facebook, on social media,” he asked, if knowing that is what was going to happen, according to witnesses.

” You can get your kids to download them because you can’t do it. Do whatever you want; I can piss on this thing 40,000 times.”

Vancouver Police SGT. Randy Fincham didn’t seem to take the incident too seriously as he told a local media outlet.

“At this point it isn’t believed that this was a hate crime focused on any one particular group and the investigation is closed at this point, Fincham said.

Do they really think we are that stupid?

Why did the urinator confront the two brown people only and not other whites that were in the area?

Why did he urinate on the monument?

Clearly it was targeted and a Hate Crime. He threw the ball and he was confrontational.

Fincham also told CTV news that the individual was “fairly intoxicated”.

How does he know this if they have not even been able to find this person?

And the victims who witnessed everything are stating that the culprit did not seem at all intoxicated. Are the police not wanting to pursue this or are just attempting to wash this under the carpet.

A complaint of a Hate Crime has been filed with Vancouver police.

The Vancouver Park Board made a statement after becoming aware of the photograph posted on Facebook which showed this racist individual urinating on the commemorative monument to the Komagata Maru in Harbour Green Park at Coal Harbour.

“On behalf of my fellow Commissioners, we are saddened and deeply offended by this disgraceful act,” said Park Board Chair Sarah Blyth. “The monument was created in partnership with the Khalsa Diwan Society to embrace multiculturalism and remind people about the devastating impact that racial intolerance and discrimination have had upon our community.”

Parks staff have cleaned the monument, Blyth said.
