The Consulate General of India celebrated 75th Republic Day of India at UBC on January 26th. Adding flavor to the festivities, guests indulged in delicious Indian street food and millet-based cuisine while enjoying captivating cultural programs. The event was graced by dignitaries from the Provincial Gov, including BC Speaker Raj Chouhan, Minister of Labour Harry Bains, Minister of State for Trade Jagrup Brar, Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke, Burnaby Mayor, senior officials, consul corps, and vibrant Indian diaspora. Consul General Manish also welcomed Brenda Bailey, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation of BC, as the Chief Guest, alongside Shane Getson, MLA & Chief Whip of Alberta.
