FRESNO – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab convener Gurpreet Ghuggi was recently in USA on a four day trip where he interacted with the non-resident Indians and AAP supporters during events in six cities.
Thousands flocked to meet Ghuggi in Tracy, Fresno and Fremont in West Coast and New York, New Jersey and Virginia in East Coast. AAP USA convener, Pradeep Sundriyal had earlier unleashed the Mission Punjab strategy a few weeks back and the strategy has found huge support among the overseas Indians.
Even before Ghuggi had landed in USA on September 14, enthusiastic AAP overseas supporters started posting short videos welcoming Ghuggi to the USA and affirming their wholehearted support for the Punjab elections in 2017.
While interacting with people in various cities, Ghuggi bemoaned the loss of language and culture in Punjab and the need to bring back the glory of Punjabi culture through education. He further stressed the need for skill based education, reforms in agriculture and AAP’s total commitment to bring about a drug free Punjab.
Striking a chord with the overseas supporters, Ghuggi applauded how well the Punjabis in the USA have preserved their culture and identity. Ghuggi took time to discuss and answer each and every question of participants at events in all the cities. Thousands of people who attended the events pledged to take forward the message of AAP.
Confident about AAP’s victory in the Punjab elections, Pulkit Gupta, an AAP volunteer from New Jersey said, “AAP was formed to deliver change in India and it will show that change after coming to power in Punjab.”
Thousands of AAP volunteers in the USA are reportedly looking forward to going to Punjab for campaigning for elections.
