SURREY – The dire need of the times is to create awareness for peace and harmony in the world. In view of this Interfaith Symposiums (World Religions Conferences) are being organized in Whitehorse on September 25, Dawson City on 27 and Inuvik on 29 in Yukon and Northwest Territories, Canada. Prominent scholars from Aboriginal, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism will present their faith perspective on this occasion in
accordance with the given topics of, “The role of religion in the 21st century” and “Is religion source for unity or reason for conflict?” Gian Singh Kotli will represent Sikhism, Acharya S.P. Dwivedi Hinduism and Muhammad Afzal Mirza from Toronto will represent Islam. This significant initiative has been taken by Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of BC who has already organized such events at several places providing much desired opportunity to major religions of the world to join together for spreading the message of love, goodwill and peaceful coexistence as ordained by their respective faiths. It is a rare occasion for the locals and the people of neighboring areas to attend this interfaith
