SURREY – Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Muktsar Sahib has organized its 1st International Online Conference on Health and Care: The Global Need to Survive from 28th May, 2021 to 30th May, 2021. College of Physiotherapy of Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Muktsar Sahib has hosted this three days academic event. A total of 300 delegates got registered from the 12 states of India and 03 Internationals countries i.e. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia & Canada to attend the conference.
Conference was inaugurated by Senior Scientific Officer Dr. Aparna Sarin from Uttrakhand Council of Science and Technology, Department of Information, Govt. of Uttrakhand, Dehradoon. Dr.Sarin congratulates the management and organizers of the conference and said that during this pandemic time we have to adopt the habit of self care and self motivated, further she extended her message to keep the world safer with a “One Health” approach.
Chairman of Punjab Universe of Academic Excellence Dr.Janjit Pal Singh Sekhon extended his best wishes and congratulate for the grand success of this mega scientific event and ensure the delegates to always provide the world class education in every field of profession.
Managing Director of Punjab Universe of Academic Excellence Er.Jarmanjit Singh Sandhu shares three cheers of success for the successful completion of the conference and also discloses the various upcoming new educational projects of Punjab Universe scheduled to be launch in the coming days. His approach towards quality and commitment for the education is highly applauded.
Key note address was presented by the conference secretariat Dr. AjitPal Singh, Director Academics, highlighting the theme of the conference and offer deep condolences to all those who have lost their lives due to COVID-19 and salute the tireless service and sacrifices of our health workers.
Dr. Anu Brar, Organizing Chairperson and Principal of College of Physiotherapy and Dr.Taranjot Kaur, Organizing Secretary have welcomed the guests, invited speakers, chairpersons and delegates of the conference. Dr.Manpreet Kaur and Mr.Harvinder Singh hold the technical responsibility during the entire scientific sessions.
There were 08 invited speakers namely Dr. Darashpreet Kaur (Patna), Mr.Amritvir Singh Deol (Chandigarh),Dr Anu Brar (Punjab), Dr Kanika Gupta (UP), Dr.Kulvir Singh Ghuman (Haryana), Dr.Manish (Chandigarh) , Mr.Jasdeep Singh Bajwa (Ottawa,Canada) and Dr.Suman Bala Sharma (Punjab)
Dr. Ruchi Varshney, National Head of IAP Women Cell was the Chief Guest and Dr. Manish Arora, Dean –Sardar Bhagwan University, Dehradun was the Guest of Honour of Valedictory Event. They applauded the efforts of the Organizers of 1st International Online Conference 2021 and congratulate the management staff and students of Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences and asked the delegates to give their best support being physiotherapist in this time of need especially in the rural areas of the country.
Twenty two delegates participated in the e-poster presentation sessions held during the conference. Best three e-poster presentation awards were announced for each scientific session.The winners are Dr.D.Anandan (Tamilnadu), Dr.Karthikeyan (Karnataka),Dr.B.Arun (Tamilnadu),Dr Jarpala (Karnataka),Dr.Jatinder Munjal (Delhi),Prof.Varinder Makkar (Faridkot),Ms.Riya Pandey (Ghaziabad),Dr.Rajesh K Sahu (Rajasthan),Dr.K Ananthraj (Rajasthan) and Dr.Kalpna Zutshi (New Delhi).
Dr.Suryamani, Dr.Sandeep Singh Saini, Dr.Lalit Arora, Dr.Alok Jha, Dr.Kavita Kaushal, Dr.Ravinder Sharma, Dr.Manpreet Kaur, Dr.Sukhdeep Kaur and Dr.Reena Arora were the chairperson during various sessions of the conference. During the entire sessions of conference Mrs.Anjali James Principal College of Nursing and Ms.Jasvir Kaur Dean Admissions & Student Welfare AIMS Sri Muktsar Sahib were also present.
