After a horrible civil war in Syria, the West is inciting a civil war in Egypt. It is becoming clear that just like Syria, the West is supporting the deposed President Morsi and his radical Islamist followers.

The West is applying overt and covert pressure on Egypt to release Morsi so that he can lead his followers and start a civil war

against the present government. In the latest pressure tactics, the delivery of the F-16 jet fighters to Egypt has been put on hold. The Egyptian army has appealed to the supporters of the present government to come out and demonstrate to show that the government has a very broad and wide support.

The Arab League supported the western invasions in Libya and Syria. In Libya, the western governments heavily bombarded and destroyed many cities to enable victory of the Islamist forces against the secular regime of Gaddafi.

However, in Syria, the victory of the western-supported fanatic forces against the secular regime of Assad has proved elusive so far and they seem to be on the retreat. Now in Egypt, the leading country of the Arab League, the tables have turned.

The western-supported Islamic radical forces have been beaten by the secular forces. It clearly shows that the Arab people can see through the Western designs of dividing and weakening them. It is very difficult for the people to accept the western-supported radical elements as genuine patriots or true Muslims. Many people see these western agents as traitors who want to divide and weaken the Arabs and the Muslims.

It seems that the West will not have an easy time bringing Morsi back to power in Egypt. The army seems to be enjoying a very broad support against the deposed President. The army has silenced the western assertion that it is divided on this issue. So far the army and the Egyptian people are holding their ground. The West is very concerned that Turkey may follow the course in Egypt.

The secular forces which are opposed to Turkey’s alliance with the West are getting stronger and may be in a position to overthrow the pro-western government. After the Arab League, Turkey is another very important Islamic country. It is clear that western support in the Arab League is dwindling. If Turkey follows suit, then western support in the Islamic countries will be significantly affected.

Pakistan, another very important Islamic country, is holding firm to its pro-China course. There is a big possibility that Pakistan’s relations with Russia will improve. Putin is going to visit Iran. Russia already enjoys very cordial relations with Iran which are likely to improve further. The western hopes of a compromise with the

Taliban in Afghanistan may be offset by the close Russia-Iran relations on one side of Afghanistan and very close Pakistan-China relations on the other side.

The western hopes of gaining a foothold in the Islamic countries may not realize. If a civil war breaks out in Egypt, the pro-western fanatic forces may take a beating like they are receiving in Syria.

An American General has cautioned the government against getting involved in the Syrian conflict any more than it is currently involved. He has warned that the victory of the pro-western forces is very difficult and involvement in Syria can prove very costly.

A civil war in Egypt will not be easily winnable for the West and may prove very costly. The West has to be very careful in getting involved in civil wars which can be very prolonged and costly because these wars can drain the West and make the present economic crisis much worse. The West has to reconsider its old tactics of divide and rule.
