The recent Taliban attack on the American Embassy and the NATO head quarters in Kabul shows that the U.S. and the NATO are miserably losing the war in Afghanistan. This area is considered the most safe area in Afghanistan. If the Taliban can attack this area then they can attack any area in Afghanistan. This clearly shows that the war has been lost. President Karzai has clearly lost his mind and is making false and exaggerated claims that the Afghan troops can replace the American and the NATO troops. He is seeing that his end will be similar to President Najib, who was brutally killed by the Taliban, when the Soviet Union lost the Afghanistan war.
If Karzai’s fate will be similar to Najib then the USA’s fate will be similar to the Soviet Union, its economy collapsed and it disintegrated. America is facing a very serious economic crisis from which there seems to be no way out. However, too many will argue that America can not disintegrate like the Soviet Union. This type of thinking is not completely true. If the Soviet Union had its weakness that it had many nations, America has its own weak point that it has many races. If the Soviet Union disintegrated along the national lines, America can disintegrate along the racial lines. As a matter of fact, America seems to be headed towards racial confrontation and racial war.
The two factors are increasing racial tensions, the deepening economic crisis and the relative increase in the numbers of the minorities compared to the white population. Both of these factors are showing their impact. The poverty statistics, just released, show that the number of poor people is increasing in America. About 46 million Americans have joined the ranks of poor that is one in six Americans. However, the statistics for the minorities, the Hispanics and the Blacks are much worse. One in four Hispanics and the Blacks are below the poverty line. The numbers of the minorities, particularly the Hispanics, compared to the whites are increasing. Already, more minority Children are born in America than the white Children. In the middle of the Century, the number of minorities will exceed the number of the whites and the Hispanics, the largest minority, will grow faster than the other minorities.
The wrong American policies particularly of President Bush, are mainly responsible for the deepening economic crisis. He showed a knee jerk response to the 9/11 attacks instead of a well thought of response. About 90% Americans wanted revenge at that time rather than a well planned action after a serious debate on how to tackle the problem of terrorism. There was no internal debate, leave alone a dialogue with the global community. Bush quickly started the Afghanistan war followed by the Iraq war. The wars incited the mass hysteria at that time but now America is dearly paying the price for starting these wars. They have drained the economy, making America weak. Without the economic strength, the military strength can not be sustained. This was also the experience of the Soviet Union.
The weakening economy and the changing demographics will continue to increase the racial tensions. The white majority will blame the minorities and the immigrants for America’s ills, deepening the racial divisions and eventually lead to a race war after the middle of the century. America can split into a White majority North and a Hispanic majority South West.
