Bir Beant Singh (24) becomes the second turbaned member of New Zealand’s Air Force. After finishing a grueling 21 week initiation training course he participated in the graduation parade on Oct. 25. Singh immigrated to New Zealand with his family in 2000 from the village of Rahimpur in Jalandhar. In 2010 he received his Engineering degree from the Auckland University of Technology but still felt there was something missing. His longing for higher achievement took him to a new challenge and finally he has achieved his goals.
