TV actress Anjum Farooki, Balika Vadhu’s Gauri, quit the hit TV show three months ago to get married. An arranged marriage, she tied the knot on December 29 and is now gearing up forher honeymoon, which is a surprise planned by her husband Saqib Syed, who’s in the merchant navy. “I  can’t wait to see what he has planned,” blushes the new bride. So what about her telly show? Does  she plan to return at some point? “I’m
certainly not returning to the show. In fact, at this point I don’t even know if I’ll get back to acting. I’ll be sailing with my husband for a while. Later, I may return to script writing, something I was into before I became an actress,” says Anjum, who started her career as a television
reporter for a website. Incidentally, many actresses, be it Bollywood or TV, have returned to acting after quitting, unable to resist the lure of
the limelight. Tell her that and she says, “I miss acting too. I haven’t faced the camera in the last few months and I do miss it. But as of now, acting in a daily soap doesn’t seem feasible. And about the future, I can’t say much. I don’t know what’s in store for me ahead. Anyway, I have never been the kind to plan my future.” TV actress Anjum Farooki, BalikaVadhu’s Gauri, quit the hit TV showthree months ago to get married.
