Canadian Muslim Community Holds Holy Qur’ān Exhibition and Open House to Remove Misconceptions

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at hosts event to discuss contemporary issues

Does the Holy Qur’ān permit terrorism? What rights does Islam give to women? The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Abbotsford holds a Holy Qur’ān exhibition to answer these questions and more. Canadians are invited to attend the event and ask any questions regarding Islam. The forum also provides a unique opportunity to view Islamic calligraphy art.

When: Saturday, May 28, 2016 – 11:00 AM-3:00 PM

The Sikh Research Institute is getting ready for its annual Sidak Leadership Retreat. We invite you to spend two weeks with us this summer in beautiful British Columbia as we immerse ourselves into Sikh culture, language, values and community! It will take place from July 24th to August 6th in Mission, BC.

You have the choice of Sikhi 101, Sikhi 201, or Gurbani 101. It is important for us to make Sidak as accommodating as possible; Sidak is made available for young families by providing a Jr. Sidak experience to children from the ages of 2 to 8 years of age. PICS Society provides a new employment program called Workplace Integration for Mature Immigrants (WIMI 45+). This program partners with local community and business employers, one to one follow up support, job mentoring and specific skills training to generate job opportunities for mature workers.
