OTTAWA – The latest numbers from Ipsos Reid show more than two thirds of Canadians believe Justin Trudeau will win the race for the federal Liberal leadership, compared to Marc Garneau’s 19 per cent support.

The rest of the candidates scored single-digit support.

While the Liberals have been out of power on Parliament Hill since 2006, 62 per cent of those asked feel Trudeau has the best chance to lead the Grits back into government.

The Liberal leadership campaign officially gets rolling January 20, when candidates have to file their papers and put down their $75,000 entry fee.
