Indo-Canadians Who Oppose The Program Can Sign The Petition With Already 25,000 Signatures On It!

VANCOUVER – An anti-smart meter group is asking a judge to put an immediate stop to the controversial program brought in by the BC Liberals despite widespread opposition.

Citizens for Safe Technology is asking the courts for an injunction to halt the program.

The group has a petition with more than 25,000 signatures and the support of 28 municipalities. Indo-Canadians who are opposed to the program can join the petition to voice their opposition.

But up until now, their efforts to put an end to the wireless component of the program haven’t worked.

That’s why Sharon Noble with the group says they’re taking legal action.

“Wireless radiation and wireless technology cause many problems first to help and to privacy.”

BC Hydro says the exposure to radio frequency from a smart meter over 20 years is the equivalent of a 30-minute call on a cell phone.

It also says all data collected remains private.
