SUVA – From next year the pay structure of the civil service will be based on performance.
Public Service Commission Permanent Secretary Parmesh Chand said there will be a performance management system implemented throughout this year which will come into effect next year.
Chand said even now the work of civil servants is being guided by performance as more are now going on contracts.
All civil servants and members of the disciplined forces received a 3% pay increase effective from last Sunday.
