AMRITSAR – A judo coach has been booked under Section 376 of the IPC for raping a student of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Namak Mandi, at a sports camp in Kangra a few days ago. The accused, identified as Rajiv Arora of Chheharta, is at large.
In her complaint to the police, the Class X student has alleged that she was repeatedly molested by the coach between June 7- June 28. Investigating officer Varinder Kumar said police teams had been sent to possible hideouts to nab the coach.
“We received the complaint only last evening. We are getting the medical examination of the complainant done and our teams are searching for the accused,” he said.
