Connecting Through Spirit Project Seeks Youth

SURREY – The Multifaith Action Society (NAS)of BC is the oldest multifaith organization in Canadawhich has provided incredible leadership in promotingand creating awareness of religious harmony since 1972.It is a registered non-profit society which provides informationand resources on world religions, encouragesall people of faith to collaborate on vital communityprograms and fosters the wellbeing of the communityas a whole.Recently, in partnership with the Vancouver Foundation,it is seeking spiritually inclined youth aged 15-25to participate in a new interfaith bridging project entitled“Connection Through Spirit”.This project is engineered in such a way that willprovide participants an inestimable opportunity to joinintercultural Youth Leadership Council with the goal ofplanning and producing a series of special events aimedat facilitating interfaith and inter-generational dialogueand collaboration.Obviously, the goal is to create a more cohesive andco-creative society by empowering youth to becomethe agents of positive change within their communities.More importantly, it will help in building bridgesbetween and within faiths, and in creating constructivecollaborations.Participants will:. Join a welcoming community of like-mindedyouthrepresenting a wide variety of cultural andspiritualbackgrounds. Embark on a journey of personal and professionalcommunity leadership.
