Dr. Sawraj Singh Awarded Professor Tara Singh Antal Award

PATIALA – Sarb Kala Darpan, a literarysociety, held a meeting at the hotelFlyover Classic in Patiala and awardedthe Professor Tara Singh Antal Awardto Dr. Sawraj Singh, a well-knowncolumnist and scholar of internationalaffairs. This award was given in thememory of Professor Tara Singh Antal,a philanthropist, dedicated educationist,and social activist.Professor Gurbakhshish Singh, son oflate Professor Tara Singh Antal, saidthat the family decided to award Dr.Sawraj Singh because he has led thefight against western arrogance, domination,and cultural invasion. He hasalso brought out the depth and superiorityof Eastern philosophy. AjmerKainth, President of Sarb Kala Darpan,said that Dr. Sawraj Singh has tried allhis life to promote what is best inPunjabi culture and values.Talwinder Talwar’s book Mein MaanParwaz was also released. Poems wererecited from the book. Amrit Pal SinghShaidan was awarded the Mata SurjitKaur Yaadgari (Memorial) Award. He isa well-known Urdu and Punjabi poet.
